Rahat Verma welcomed as new chief operating officer at HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital
Port St. Lucie, FL — HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Rahat Verma, MHA, MBA, as chief operating officer, effective September 29. Rahat joins the hospital from HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he most recently served as Vice President of Operations.
During his tenure at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, Rahat played a pivotal role in advancing strategic growth initiatives, overseeing more than $120 million in capital investments. His leadership helped bring 13 surgical robots online, enhancing clinical capabilities and spearheaded renovations across key service areas including the Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, ICUs and Freestanding Emergency Departments.

Rahat is recognized within HCA Florida Healthcare for his commitment to patient safety, colleague engagement and fostering a strong organizational culture. He began his career with HCA Healthcare in 2022 through the Executive Residency Program and was promoted to Associate Administrator in 2023.
He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in neuroscience and psychology from Florida Atlantic University and earned both a Master of Health Administration (MHA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Minnesota.
