Outpatient radiology services
Invision Imaging Center is an outpatient imaging center on our campus that offers imaging procedures that prioritize your comfort and safety. Some of our imaging center's specialties include CT, MRI and nuclear medicine exams.
Vascular and interventional radiology
During these minimally invasive procedures, our interventional radiologists often use medical instruments such as catheters, needles and wires to access targeted areas of your body.
We commonly use vascular and interventional radiology if you have experienced a cerebrovascular accident, also referred to as a stroke.
Breast health screenings and diagnostic services
Our breast health experts prioritize early detection through advanced diagnostic imaging services.
Mammogram
A mammogram, or X-ray of the breast, is the most common tool used to detect breast cancer. While it cannot diagnose breast cancer on its own, it can detect abnormalities that may require further testing, such as a breast biopsy. Women aged 40 and older should receive annual screening mammograms.
Breast MRI
An MRI uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves, rather than radiation, to produce detailed 3D images of your breast tissue.
Breast ultrasound
Sound waves and their echoes produce images of your breast tissue during an ultrasound. This diagnostic tool can help detect breast changes that may be harder to see on a mammogram.
Self-exams
You may perform a breast exam on yourself to help identify any changes to your breasts and help detect breast cancer early.
Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare, advises that women aged 20 and older perform a breast self-exam each month. Men with an increased risk of breast cancer due to a BRCA gene mutation are encouraged to start self-exams at age 35. There are also clinical exams performed by your provider to help feel for lumps and abnormalities.
