About Capital Hospital University Mental Health and Wellness

Our outpatient behavioral health program is designed to meet the mental health care needs of college students facing the pressures of higher education in Leon County, Florida.

A mental health program for college students

As an extension of HCA Florida Capital Hospital's mental health and wellness programs, our behavioral health program is designed to meet the unique mental health needs of college students. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, young adults between 18 and 25 years old have the highest rate of mental illness compared to other adult age groups.

Our center is located on Florida State University's campus, but our program is available to all college students, including students enrolled in online universities.

Our outpatient behavioral health services

Our intensive outpatient program for college students includes 12 hours per week of therapeutic group activities, including:

  • Art therapy
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Dual diagnosis therapy
  • Educational group therapy
  • Medication management

Additional behavioral health programs

In addition to our outpatient behavioral health program for university students, HCA Florida Capital Hospital offers the following mental health and wellness programs:

  • Inpatient mental health program
  • Partial hospitalization program (35 hours of therapy per week)
  • Intensive outpatient program (15 hours of therapy per week)
