Joint replacement surgery

After using advanced diagnostics to determine the root cause of your pain, our orthopedic doctors create personalized treatment and pain management plans.

In some instances, a joint replacement procedure may be the best option for your chronic joint pain. Our experienced orthopedic surgeons perform the joint replacement, using minimally invasive techniques whenever possible.

We recommend talking to your doctor about hip, knee or shoulder replacement if you are experiencing:

  • Hips, knees or shoulders grinding and hurting when you move
  • Pain when walking or standing

Hip replacement surgery

During the anterior approach to hip replacement, you surgeon can access your hip joint through the front of the hip. This approach results in less damage to surrounding tissue and may also produce a smaller surgical incision.

Since the muscles surrounding the hip joint are separated at their natural intervals, one potential benefit is a shorter recovery time.

Knee replacement surgery

Differences in bone shape can change the fit of a knee replacement. Studies show that misalignment causes increased wear of the implant and can lead to premature failure.

Our customized knee replacement surgery uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology and preoperative planning tools to create personalized surgical guides that match your anatomy.

Orthopedic rehabilitation

Many orthopedic and spine surgeries require physical therapy and rehabilitation, and we offer a variety of services to meet your individual needs. For your convenience, we provide physical rehabilitation services in the orthopedic unit.

Our orthopedic and spine nurse navigator

We know orthopedic surgery can be overwhelming, but you don't have to face it alone. Our nurse navigator is here to answer any questions you may have and keep you informed every step of the way.

Our orthopedic and spine nurse navigator will:

  • Holistically get to know you and your needs
  • Provide enhanced communication with your caregivers
  • Educate and inform you about what to expect before, during and after surgery
  • Foster a strong partnership with nursing and medical staff to make sure you receive the highest level of care

Additionally, we offer preoperative classes to help you prepare for surgery and recovery.
