Emergency care: Latasha's story

HCA Florida Healthcare has strategically placed five freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) in Marion County and Sumter County to deliver quality care to people closer to their homes. 

Each HCA Florida Healthcare FSED in Marion County and Sumter County has the same expertise, technology, and excellent patient care as can be found in the emergency rooms at either HCA Florida Ocala Hospital or HCA Florida West Marion Hospital. These facilities are open 24/7 and offer adult and pediatric emergency services, diagnostic imaging, and comprehensive laboratory support to ensure quality care for everything from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.

"When I first entered the building, the staff was very friendly. They were eager to assist me," says Latasha. "For me, especially having a family, it's very important that it's in our community."
