HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital announces Chief Nursing Officer

We’re excited to welcome Beth to our Fawcett Hospital family.

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital has appointed Elizabeth Albaugh, DNP, MBA, RN to chief nursing officer (CNO). Albaugh will lead clinical areas and initiatives in conjunction with the assistant chief nursing officer, Nicole Carr, DNP, MSN, RN.

Beth has more than 10 years of clinical and nursing leadership experience, including proven abilities to manage strategic goals, staff development, quality improvement, program implementation and the coordination of multiple disciplines. She most recently served as CNO at Sentra Albemarle Medical Center, where she led the reduction of hospital acquired infections by 64% to achieve best in the health system, led interdisciplinary teams to reduce device days by 40% within one year and led improvement in nurse sensitive indicators such as reducing pressure injuries to top decile performance and falls with injury to top quartile performance respectively. In addition, Beth provided leadership for over 600 colleagues to include nurses and clinical ancillary teams, as well as successfully led the facility in their Magnet Recognition Program journey.

Beth holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Ohio State University.
