Citrus Memorial Hospital welcomes Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Joseph Maslak joins CMH as Chief Medical Officer
INVERNESS, FL — Citrus Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce Dr. Joseph Maslak as Chief Medical Officer. He joins the Citrus Memorial Hospital team with 12 years of medical staff leadership experience and 23 years of clinical experience as an internal medicine hospitalist and primary care physician.
“We are so excited to welcome Dr. Maslak to both Citrus County and our senior leadership team,” said Citrus Memorial Hospital CEO Ginger Carroll. “His experience will help lead our patient-centric agenda forward.”

Maslak comes to Citrus Memorial Hospital from University of Colorado Health – Southern Colorado where he was Regional Medical Staff President leading a team of 1,400 medical staff members; prior to this he served in multiple roles including Senior Medical Director of Adult Internal Hospital Medicine, Chief of Staff, Chief of Internal Medicine and Chief of Hospital Medicine.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from LeMoyne College before attending St. George’s University School of Medicine. Maslak completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Albany Medical Center and most recently earned an Executive Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) at the University of Southern California. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
