Nilmarie Guzmán, MD
Program Director, Ponce School of Medicine
Dr. Guzmán is dual boarded in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She has extensive GME experience and joined our program in 2017 as faculty and was appointed PD in June 2021. Prior to coming to OPMC she was Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at University of Florida COM- Jacksonville where she received her fellowship training in Infectious Diseases. She currently holds an Associate Professor of Medicine appointment at Mercer University School of Medicine. She is also involved in Antimicrobial Stewardship Processes at OPMC and leads the accreditation Committee.
Pegah Ghafourian, MD
Associate Program Director
Dr. Ghafourian is the Associate Program Director of Internal Medicine Residency. She completed her undergraduate education in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, medical degree at Mercer University School of Medicine and postgraduate training at Medical University of South Carolina and Memorial University Hospital in Georgia. She is interested in resident education and scholarly activity.
Jessica El-Bahri, DO
Core Faculty, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
Dr. El-Bahri is a board certified Internal Medicine physician and serves as teaching faculty on the inpatient Hospital Medicine service. She completed her medical education at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL and trained at Largo Medical Center. She has a true passion for teaching and has GME experience at multiple Internal Medicine programs prior to joining us at OPMC. Dr. El-Bahri serves as the Chair for the Credentials Committee at OPMC and serves on the Quality and Medical Executive Committees.
Sneha Modi, MD
Core Faculty, B.J. Medical College
Dr. Modi is currently a core faculty member of the Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residency programs at Orange Park. She obtained her medical diploma at B.J. Medical College in Gujarat, India. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. She has served as a teaching Hospitalist for the Internal Medicine residency program at Northwell Plainview Hospital, NY. Her special interests are teaching residents, Quality improvement and serving patients as a Primary Care Provider.
Robert Kulchinsky, MD
Core Faculty, Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Dr. Kulchinsky Is board certified in internal medicine with focused practice in Hospital Medicine. He is the most experienced teaching hospitalist at OPMC. Dr. Kulchinsky completed internal medicine training in 1989 at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.
Ismael Rodriguez, MD
Core Faculty, Ponce School of Medicine
Dr. Rodriguez has been an active faculty member since the program’s inception in 2016. He serves as Medical Director for Hospital Medicine at Orange Park Medical Center. He completed his internal medicine training in 1998 in Emory in Atlanta, GA and has been practicing at OPMC for over 20 years. Internal Medicine Chair since 2019.
