The primary goal of our program is to prepare physicians for lifelong careers as providers of outstanding, efficient and compassionate care in emergency medicine (EM).
Our program is one of the newest, fastest-growing and most realistic places to train due to its community location and over $100 million in expansions. We are a 365-bed, STEMI, stroke, and Level II Trauma Center with a catchment area spanning six counties.
Our EM faculty provide high-quality patient care with years of experience in emergency care. Each is dedicated to educating and mentoring residents through clinical, didactic and research experiences. They are also heavily involved in different levels of leadership throughout the hospital.
Standout features of our residency program:
- HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is a unique community hospital with multiple research grants.
- We have a high patient volume with a catchment area spanning six counties in Northeast Florida.
- Extensive exposure and integration of administrative meetings and tasks allows residents early experience and exposure with hospital leadership.
