About HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital

Located just three miles off the Gulf of Mexico, HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is an acute care facility in Hudson, Florida — 30 minutes north of Tampa. HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has a long and illustrious history of providing the highest level of critical medical care for our community.

Founded in 1981, it was the first hospital to be built in North West Pasco County serving residents in Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties. Our reputation for providing compassionate and innovative care to those in need is built on the foundation of excellence in patient care.

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital’s nationally recognized Heart Institute, Accredited Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, Approved with Commendation Community Cancer Program and orthopedic and neurosurgery programs are all examples of the high-quality results we produce while caring for our patients.

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital has a significant presence in the communities we serve. Last year, 1,200 employees, 500 volunteers and more than 300 physicians touched the lives of more than 82,000 patients from five counties (Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough). Through our emergency rooms and inpatient and outpatient programs, our patients reaped the benefits of our accredited programs. In 2014, we handled approximately 16,000 admissions and 48,000 ER visits.

In February, 2013, the Florida Department of Health awarded HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital full designation as a state Level II Trauma Center. HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is the only trauma center in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus Counties.
